National EMS Memorial Service Honoree

NEMSMS Honoree Thomas E. Wolf

Life Flight
Wyoming Medical Center
Casper, Wyoming

Tom was a registered nurse in the Emergency Medical Department of Wyoming Medical Center. He was working as a flight nurse for Life Flight, a vital part of the Medical Center, on April 6, 1993 when he died. Life Flight's fixed-wing aircraft was returning to the Wyoming Medical Center with a patient when it disappeared from radar just ten minutes before landing in Casper. Visibility was reduced by snow which also hampered search and rescue crews from three counties.

Tom was an exceptionally talented emergency medical services professional which was evident by the care his patients received. His co-workers considered him their friend.
