Elizabeth, an emergency medical technician with the Brazeau Rescue Squad, died of massive internal injuries as a result of an auto accident on Monday, February 6, 1989. She was riding in the back of the ambulance while attending a patient during transport to the hospital.

When the ambulance collided with a semi-trailer in an intersection, the impact threw Elizabeth from the squad vehicle Don and Elizabeth were the parents of one daughter, Karen, and five sons--David, James, Thomas, Donald, Jr., and Loren--and were well known in the Brazeau community.

For five years they owned and operated Don and Betty's Resort at White Potato Lake, Wisconsin. She was a member of the choir at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.

Elizabeth Weshebek's devotion to helping others ended in tragedy. She was 53 years old.
