National EMS Memorial Service Honoree

	Edwin R. Sorrells, Jr. Greenville County Emergency Medical Services Greenville, South Carolina

Paramedic Edwin Sorrells died on May 22, 1990, responding to an emergency medical call.

As vehicles were pulling to the side of the road to allow Edwin's ambulance to pass, a tractor trailer went out of control when the driver attempted to avoid the vehicles on the side of the road.

Unfortunately, the tractor trailer hit Edwin's ambulance head-on, killing him. Edwin was survived by his wife, Lisa, and son, Joshua Michael.
