National EMS Memorial Service Honoree

	Freddie "Tommy" Robbins Weakley County Ambulance Service Dresden, Tennessee

Tommy began his career in emergency medical services with the Lauderdale County Ambulance Service before joining the Weakley County Ambulance Service in 1979.

He had been a certified emergency medical technician for five years before his death on December 26, 1982 at the age of 33. During the course of a routine call to pick up a patient at Weakley County Nursing Home, Tommy was riding in the back of the ambulance when it was involved in an accident with a tractor trailer. On impact the ambulance broke into three pieces, and the three emergency medical services providers on the call were thrown from the vehicle and killed instantly.
