National EMS Memorial Service Honoree

	Tom Long, Jr. Ambulance Section, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Fort Campbell, Kentucky

Tom Long, Jr was 59 years old and had been employed at USA MEDDAC Fort Campbell for over 33 years. He worked as an emergency medical technician for the ambulance section at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

While he was on duty, he was talking to another emergency medical service provider when he suffered cardiac arrest. He died of heart failure on October 8, 1998.

Seven children, along with his grandchildren, survive Tom Long.
